Carly Stewart, AMFT

carly

Carly is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist in San Diego, California. She believes that there is nothing more courageous than asking for help and she wants to create a safe space for you to find freedom from old wounds and unsatisfying patterns.

Carly's experience includes a variety of settings such as private practice, hospice facilities, and outpatient drug and alcohol treatment clinics. She's gained experience working with a wide variety of clients who are expressing symptoms related to OCD, anxiety, depression, addiction, codependency, relational issues, and childhood trauma.

As a Marriage and Family Therapist Associate, Carly wants to create a safe space for her clients that will allow them room to explore and understand the emotions and feelings that they're experiencing. The goal would be that clients can extend compassion to themselves and find internal peace. Carly's hope is to honor her client's pain and help them move forward in a way that feels right for them. When working with clients Carly incorporates various modalities that include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS).

Carly has earned her Master's degree in Clinical Counseling from National University. As she pursues licensure in the State of California (AMFT128598), Carly is under the direct supervision of Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Dr. Viviana Galindo (PSY35055).
